Upgraded rules for Air Combat System

Hello,
The Air Battle System in The Battle of Khalkhin Gol is a bit abstract and more suitable for players who like innovations, dynamics and brainstorming. For the others who prefer quicker games, we designed a couple of alternatives.
Air Superiority is determined by rolling a D8 die at the beginning of each round and the result decides which player has the Air Superiority in that round.
The players have 3 actions at their disposal which they can perform 2 times each during the game. They can perform only one action per round and only the player who has won the Air Superiority can perform the action. Available actions are:
1. One enemy’s unit has 5 MP less. The player will announce at the start of the round what enemy’s unit is affected by this action and they will place a marker on it.
2. One of your units has a +1 attack modifier in one battle.
3. Enemy loses 8 Political Points.
Remember, each action can be performed twice during the whole game, but only one per round. The player will use the action markers to track which actions were performed.
Each player has 8 action tokens. One side of the tokens is the same, while the other side is different. Out of these 8 tokens, 6 tokens are the actions mentioned above (two of each) and 2 tokens are blank tokens.
At the beginning of each round, after the Calendar Card is revealed and before playing with their units, the players chose a marker, place it face down and reveal them simultaneously. Both players can perform the action shown on the marker in that round. In two rounds, the players won’t be able to perform any action (blank tokens) so they will have to make a decision which action to perform in which round.
We hope that these new rules will bring more value to the game. Please let us know what you think in the comments. Thank you.
Best regards,
